Brown the meat in a pan over medium high heat, remove and set aside when done.
In the same pan, add the onions and garlic and cook for two minutes, season with salt and pepper.
Add the rest of the vegetables and season with salt, pepper, Cavender's, oregano, and crushed red pepper. When the vegetables begin to soften, add the beef, tomato sauce, and water and stir to combine.
Bring the pan to a boil and drop the heat to low, cover and simmer for 10-20 minutes.
Serve over rice, a baked potato, or with a piece of sourdough bread.
