Chicken Picadillo

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground chicken breast
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 8 oz water
  • 1/4 cup olive juice
  • 1 bay leaf
  • cumin
  • salt & pepper
  • Adobo Seasoning
  • 1 packet Sazon

Instructions
 

  • Brown the meat in a pan, add onions and garlic and cook until soft and fragrant.
  • Add salt & pepper, to taste
  • When the meat in brown and aromatics are soft, add a can of tomato sauce. rinse the can out with water and add the water to the pan.
  • Add the olive juice
  • Season with cumin, adobo, and Sazon to your taste. Add in the bay leaf.
  • Stir and bring to a boil, drop to a simmer, cover and cook on low for 20-30 minutes.
  • Serve over rice, in tacos or burritos, on nachos, whatever you'd like!

This recipe is TOO EASY and has SO MUCH FLAVOR!

I used to make this picadillo with 99% lean ground turkey and I found ground chicken breast tastes and cooks up so much better! You can also make this with beef!
