Chicken Picadillo
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken breast
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 8 oz water
- 1/4 cup olive juice
- 1 bay leaf
- cumin
- salt & pepper
- Adobo Seasoning
- 1 packet Sazon
Instructions
- Brown the meat in a pan, add onions and garlic and cook until soft and fragrant.
- Add salt & pepper, to taste
- When the meat in brown and aromatics are soft, add a can of tomato sauce. rinse the can out with water and add the water to the pan.
- Add the olive juice
- Season with cumin, adobo, and Sazon to your taste. Add in the bay leaf.
- Stir and bring to a boil, drop to a simmer, cover and cook on low for 20-30 minutes.
- Serve over rice, in tacos or burritos, on nachos, whatever you'd like!
This recipe is TOO EASY and has SO MUCH FLAVOR!
I used to make this picadillo with 99% lean ground turkey and I found ground chicken breast tastes and cooks up so much better! You can also make this with beef!
